Not great for battery powered option

This is a great little unit. However, I bought a bunch of USB power supplies and cables to power most of them because the odd-ball batteries are such a pain to deal with. I found some rechargeable ones and bought a bunch with a special charger, but they don't last long on a charge and most of them have failed to hold a charge after just a couple of cycles. That's not Insteons fault, but It would be nice if they provided a reliable battery solution. Even just a link to something reasonably priced that they have tested and determined works well.

I greatly prefer the 9v in the older unit. I think they should have gone with 3 AAA instead of the one 4.5v in this form factor. You can get LiON batteries in all those shapes these days if you want to use them outside.

Also, The "tape" that comes with this seems completely useless. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong with it, and I can't find any useful instructions that explain what to do with it. Maybe I'm just dumb.

Works as expected

The Insteon motion sensor replaced a Philips Hue unit I have used for some time. The Philips Hue polling is ~every 30 seconds, which was a long time to wait for the lights to turn on. Insteon products sync instantly with my hub and as a result, my lights turn on right away with movement.
