Mini teclado de control remoto, 8 escenas

This is my 3rd standalone mini keypad in service around my home, used upstairs, home office & Great room. Easy to configure & inter grade into current Zwave & Zigbee environment. Just create a scene add it to 1 of 8 programmable buttons & done. Don’t forget to recharge it every few months with the supplied usb cable.

Works well, though sometimes you have to wake it up before a button will initiate the programmed scene. Easy enough. Also, would very much like the stands, but they have been out of stock for quite some time now. Should be easy enough to manufacturer, so I hope the stock of these can be replenished soon.

I have a few of these and they have been good devices. But I'd really like to see one that has maybe 16 buttons rather than maxing out at just 8. I have to do some tricks with these to get everything in a single room on just one (I use scenes sometimes, but I also like to be able to control some things independently). I understand it would be bigger, but even gluing two of these together would still make a pretty small remote.

Works great. It replaced a 5 year old one that no longer could be recharged.

I recently installed several 6 button controllers to control bedroom ceiling fans and lights. Using Director it couldn’t have been more easy! Then I decided to take 2 of the 8 button mini remotes and make a custom holder for them that would allow me to install them in each side of the bed. I made a custom 3D printed 8 button controller holder and also printed Light and Fan control button labels. I attached a small piece of material to allow the periodic removal of the 8 button controller from the mount to make recharging much easier. The WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) rated very high because she could easily control the ceiling fan speed or lights directly from bed. Making it easy for her to turn on the ceiling fan light at 10% brightness at night to just provide enough light to get to and from the restroom without waking me up with a blinding overhead light. I’ve included a picture of my custom 8 button 3D printed bedside wall mount which really looks nice mounted on the wall on each side of the wall.

At the end of the day I think Insteon products are superior in quality and reliability, not to mention excellent integration with Amazon Alexa for voice control and simplified configuration using the Director application.

Can’t wait to see support for my outdoor controllers, and possibly an 8 function sprinkler controller to replace my aging Rain-8 UPB controller.

Insteon means real quality in my mind, customer service couldn’t be better - my questions were answered quickly and with details that made it easy to understand.
