  • Control motorized projection screens, window shutters, blinds, and more
  • Compatible with latching, single momentary, and dual momentary switches

  • Sense wiring retains local control at the switch

  • Customizable upper and lower timing limits

  • Control up to 8A resistive or a 2.5A motor

  • Set schedules, configure scenes, and remotely control Micro Module from your smartphone with the Insteon Hub

Adding remote control to 110V wired motorized appliances usually means replacing switches. Not any more. With Insteon's Micro Open/Close Module, you can keep your existing motor control switch, customize your upper and lower timing limits, and then control it from any Insteon controller.

Micro Dimmer can also be installed as an in-line module within a fixture box, providing remote control dimming without having to run wires to a wall switch.

Small powerful module

This small unit is ideal to install in the main panel that feeds a number of 240 V heater circuits. We have a solar power system that has a battery backup capability. When there is a power failure, the computer that runs the modules automatically shuts down those kilowatt sucking heaters, that would drain the batteries in no time flat. There are other such modules in weathertight switch boxes that run standard 120 V circuits in the barn. The switches can then control the lights. The on-off status of the modules can also be determined by the computer, which will then turn off the lights from the house, if they had been inadvertently left on too long. That saves a trip all the way to the barn to turn the lights off. The fact that the modules can communicate over the powerline and over the air makes them much more reliable. High reliability is one of the strong points of INSTEON devices.

Thank you for the kind words. Great solution! Thanks for sharing.
