  • Add Insteon on/off remote control without replacing your existing switch
  • Installs behind existing latching, single momentary or dual momentary switches
  • Sense wiring retains local control at the switch
  • Can also be installed as an in-line module within a fixture box, providing remote control without having to run wires to a wall switch

Adding remote control to wired lights usually means replacing switches. Not any more. With Insteon's Micro On/Off Module, you can keep your existing antique, toggle or decorative wall switches while adding the customizable, remote control functionality of an Insteon Wall Switch.

Add an Insteon Hub (2245-222) and you’ll be able to control it from a smartphone, create schedules and bridge to 3rd party voice control like Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant.

Micro On/Off can also be installed as an in-line module within a fixture box, providing remote control without having to run wires to a wall switch. Also available in a dimmable version

Excellent for adding control when there is no switch.

Excellent for adding control for a device when junction box is much too high for a switch. Allows the 2443 to be placed behind a regular outlet or switch.

Works outside (in proper enclosure) in Phoenix

I’ve been using these in landscape applications where I couldn’t use traditional switches. I use them to control my outdoor fountains, landscape lighting, etc. They are all in outside boxes sheltered from direct sunlight. These been working reliably for over 10 years in Phx where summer temperatures often go above 115degF. I did take care to place their boxes in shady areas and one is in an external box on the house. No issues, no failures. My outdoor GFCI plugs fail far more often than these.

Well Pump Monitoring

Steve Lee gave me the Klever idea to use the Micro on/off module to monitor when my well pump is running or not.

It’s so much simpler than my way I was thinking of. You just use the Yellew sense wire and connect it to the well pump pressure switch.

Time will tell how long this will work since it is outside in the elements but should not get wet ever.

Thanks Steve Lee and Insteon.

I will try to get more familiar with micro modules since it worked out so well for the Well pump project.

Durability problems

This device does not last more than 2 years when exposed to the normal temperatures found in an attic. Please note the attic is very well ventilated and temperatures rarely exceed 100 degrees. Because of the location, it is difficult to replace and reconfigure a new unit.

We apologize that this product does not meet your expectations. We will share your feedback with the product team. If you would like to arrange a return, please contact orders@insteon.com

Versatile product

I used this to replace and old and failed in-line linc. The new module is more compact and fit into the fixture box much better. I still use Houselinc, the system recognized the device and programming links was easy. I feel there could be better description of the multiple functions this product can perform as this use was not addressed in the advertising text. Overall, I am very happy with the new product
